Thank you for stopping by and your interest in the great Town of Barnstable. There will be frequent updates so check back soon
We will support strong leaders and sound legislation that will bring citizens together to achieve our goals as a united community with a sustainable, balanced economy that respects our natural resources, community character and heritage.
In essence, we will work to maintain and improve a place that is second to none to live, work, visit and educate our children. We are Cape Codders for Barnstable, Cape Cod and Massachusetts.
We formed the committee because we believe that it is important to the town for local businesses to have an organized voice on many issues. We believe that what happens to the business community in Barnstable – good and bad – happens to all residents of this community. A healthy, balanced and vibrant economic environment in our town is good for everyone: It keeps businesses open and paying taxes; it keeps local residents employed and spending in town. We feel it is important for all citizens in the town that we be clear about what we think is in the communities best interest on a variety of issues affecting local businesses and all residents who call Barnstable home.

Thank you to all that participated in achieving this award.
“These All-America cities symbolize the spirit of grassroots democracy and community problem solving,” said Gloria Rubio-Cortés, president and CEO of the Denver-based nonprofit organization that awards communities for outstanding civic accomplishments. Their awardwinning efforts addressed some of the most difficult challenges facing communities today. The 2007 winners tackled tough community issues such as healthcare, environmental protection, demographic change, economic development, promotion of the arts, innovations in parks and recreation programs, cultural diversity, education, neighborhood revitalization, youth involvement in local decision-making and public safety.
